No old settings at all?
Why your old code stopped working
On 22 September 2026 Valve updated CS2 crosshairs to be resolution independent and moved them to a new Crosshair / Scopes settings tab with new styles. The new Length, Thickness and Gap settings use a new scale, several old settings were removed, and the game's own menu now notes that the scale of these settings has changed. Old codes can be refused with "Invalid or old crosshair code". That message does not mean your code is broken: its old settings can still be read here.
What this tool does
- Recovers every setting stored in an old code, typed settings, or pasted console lines, and shows them unchanged.
- Carries over settings with a known new equivalent, such as a custom color, transparency, outline on or off, center dot, T style and Follow Recoil.
- Converts Length, Thickness and Gap for Classic Static crosshairs from CS2 before the update, played at 1920×1080 or 1280×960 (4:3), to new values that draw the same pixels (measured in the game). For other setups it asks you to choose them.
- Explains anything that could not come across, such as outline thickness, color presets and the weapon-based gap.
- Outputs console commands from the current game's command list (see how each was checked), a settings checklist for the game menu, a crosshair.cfg file and a link back to this page.
Before you paste commands
Save your current crosshair with the game's Share or Import button first. Then apply the commands, look at the crosshair in a match or practice server, and adjust the sizes until it feels right. The preview on this page is a schematic, not the game's renderer.
